UWS and its region

The University of Western Sydney (UWS) has a reputation for academic excellence, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in more than 100 course areas. We provide a learning environment that flexibly meets the needs of our student body and offer courses across a range of fields including Bachelor, Master and PhD programs.

The University has four colleges - Arts, Education and Social Sciences; Law and Business; Science Technology and Environment and Social and Health Sciences. It is also home to the Sydney Graduate School of Management, which offers high quality management programs in Australia and overseas.

In recent years one of the University's key priorities has been the development of its research capability and we have achieved continuing growth in terms of both research income earned from public and private sources and numbers of PhD students.

UWS is the University of choice for over 5000 international students every year, with over 3000 of them studying onshore in Australia. We have active links with universities throughout Asia, the Pacific, Europe and the USA. These provide a range of opportunities for in-country study, study abroad, and staff and student exchange, as well as academic collaboration and research.
